Unfortunately, the rising South Florida rapper is going back behind bars.
Despite a promising music career that resurrected Kodak Black’s life from South Florida’s poverty-stricken corners, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper can’t seem to catch a break legally. Today, it was announced that he will serve one-year for possession of weed and an unlicensed firearm.
Although a one-year sentence is no walk in the park for anyone, the ramifications could have been far worse for Kodak. Initially facing a maximum 12-year penalty, due to also violating his probation, Kodak’s sentence was severely reduced due to a plea deal that he made. He will serve his sentence in a county prison.
Given that Kodak has already served 90-days of his sentence, it’s plausible that he’ll be a free man by October on good behavior.
