Lady Sovereign has apologized for storming off the stage during a recent performance at
SOV, who was billed to perform a set at 1.30am following her support slot with Gwen Stefani at PNC Bank Arts Centre, came showed up two hours late at 3.30am. Her tour bus allegedly broke down.
The pint-sized British rapper told shocked fans that she was only performing for financial gain as she can’t afford to pay her rent. She stormed off stage after two songs saying she didn’t care if she got paid.
“I know how stupid I must have looked on Friday,” Sov said in a statement. “I was tired and not in the mood, having a bad day. But that’s no excuse for letting fans down, I’m sorry to those that were at Studio B to see me.”
