Lamborghini‘s newest supercar is essentially the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 with a removable roof, unveiled today and set to launch in the summer of 2013. The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster has a two-piece carbon fiber roof weighing 13.2 pounds that can be stored in the front luggage compartment, with a black-painted cockpit providing a two-tone aesthetic. Additionally, a unique engine cover features twin vented hexagonal windows and a center “spinal column” running down the model. Like the coupe, the Aventador Roadster is powered by a 6.5-liter 700-horsepower V12 connected to a seven-speed single-clutch paddleshift gearbox. It enables a sprint time of 0 to 62 mph in 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 217 mph. The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster can be ordered now through Lamborghini dealers worldwide for the price of 300,000 euros (around $381,000 USD).
