Lil’ Wayne has 99 problems and 50 Cent is one of them. In August, 50 described Weezy as a “whore” for appearing on too many songs, which includes Ja Rule’s “Uh Ohh.” In 50’s eyes, any rapper who stands next to Ja Rule, his nemesis, is also taking a stand against him. To drive his point home, 50 unleashed a dis song titled “Part-Time Lover,” in which he clowned Weezy and Baby for their infamous “kissing photo.”
VIBE addressed the issue with Wayne in the November issue, which features the New Orleans rapper on its cover. After applauding 50’s Vitamin Water as the best out there, Wayne went on to say that he’s not upset about Fif’s remarks.
“A person like 50 Cent say anything about me, you gotta understand, that’s what makes them who they are,” Wayne in the VIBE interview. “So me getting mad, that would be outta Lil Wayne’s character. There’s been plenty of recorders right here in my face saying, What you think about such-and-such saying…? Nothing! I don’t think nothing!”
He added—and this is the best part: “That ain’t me, I’m from New Orleans, man, we kill, for real, I’m not gonna stress that!”
We may never know exactly why 50 chose to call out Lil’ Wayne, but we know that this is shaping up to be an interesting battle. Young Buck has even added his voice to the chorus. On a new dis track dubbed "Class is in Session," Buck, who used to be a member of Cash Money Records, goes directly at Wayne: "Uh-oh, here we go, he standing by Ja Rule / Forgetting that me and Baby used to drop him off at school."
