Ms. Wallace is shutting Lil Kim down, and really who can blame her? Biggie’s mom will not clear the sample on Monica’s new single “Anything (To Find You).” The track which features Rick Ross, Missy Elliot and Lil Kim. The song contains samples from B.I.G.’s “Who Shot Ya” track which was originally cleared by Ms. Wallace until the Queen of Pay Pal, Lil Kim, decided to jump on the track.
Kimmy and Ms. Wallace have a long history of conflict so it shouldn’t have been a surprise when the song debuted this past week without Kim’s verse. Monica not wanting to upset all 5 of Lil Kim’s fans, displaced all the blame for omitting Kimmy Banco to Biggie’s mom. She Tweeted:
“I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed. She’s our friend, a legend & @LilKim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked & I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate.”
“We respect all parties involved & were gonna do WHATEVER to keep the song as is because @lilKim the bizness on the record…,” she continued. “I am as thorough as they come and I LOVE @LilKim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No. If we put it out we get SUED.”
Now it’s time to just sit back and wait to see what Kimmy has to say about this…
