The shortest track to do so since 1975.

Lil Pump’s meteoric rise has been defined by a unique come-up unlike most. He was able to garner millions of streams and fans’ hearts off the strength of a handful of loose SoundCloud tracks, an interesting social media presence, and his tagline, “ESKEETIT!”. Now, his rise has been supplemented by another interesting factor: “Gucci Gang’s” placement on the Billboard Top-10.

Pump’s viral hit is just over two-minutes long—currently at Billboard’s seventh highest single and enjoying over 92-million Spotify streams—making it the shortest record to reach the coveted Top-10 spot since Dickie Goodman’s 1975 song, “Mr. Jaws”, which peaked at number four.

It’s another momentous occasion for the divisive upstart, and signifies that he’s nowhere close to slowing down.
