A label rep at Universal has recently revealed that Lil Wayne‘s rock infused album, Rebirth, has been pushed back for the third time to a July release date. To be honest I’m not too interested in this project. Is anyone?

Fat Joe‘s latest effort, J.O.S.E. 2, has also been pushed back from its initial release date of May 19th. Joe is claiming that it’s due to lack of promotion on the album. To quote him “We wanted to make sure we had a second single in the marketplace, we dropped the first single with Akon and will be coming soon with the T-Pain joint.”
Really Joe? Lack of promotion. More like lack of interest. Does anyone really want to hear new Fat Joe music? Just look at his whole process for the album. Get song with Akon and go to radio. Get song from T-Pain and go to radio. Don’t worry he also has a Ron Browz joint on the album. It’s this complete lack of creativity and origonality that makes commercial hip-hop suck. I have no problem with commercial records as long as it doesn’t seem like I’ve already heard it a million times before. Am I just recklessley hating or does anyone else feel that way?
