Lil Wayne Has Been Released From the Hospital

Fans can let out a collective sigh of relief.

It was a scary moment for one of Hip Hop’s most influential emcees, Lil Wayne. The decorated rap veteran was submitted to a hospital after being found unconscious in his Chicago hotel room after suffering from a seizure—he suffered a subsequent one once hospitalized. Luckily, the Holly Grove staple appears to be stable and doing fine as he was officially released from the hospital today.

A hectic schedule coupled with sleep deprivation contributed to Weezy’s multiple seizures, forcing doctors to recommend that he take time off while recuperating. For the next couple of weeks, Wayne will have to remain incapacitated while his body heals. He needs to focus on himself first and foremost, even if that will disappoint his loyal fanbase.

With a full slate of shows lined-up, Tunechi will unfortunately have to postpone these shows. As upset as his fans might be, I’m sure they’re happier knowing that Wayne is on the mend.

Weezy’s next scheduled show is for September 23rd. We hope that he gets the necessary rest to make the full comeback that we know he’s capable of.
