In June of last year, Lil’ Wayne stopped by the set of Jimmie Kimmel Live to promote I Am Not A Human Being II. During his interview he said, “I want to retire after Tha Carter V, which I hope would be my last album.” If you were hoping that he would change his mind you are in no such luck.
MTV reports that Lil’ Wayne will indeed be retiring after Tha Carter V, kind of. “25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this,” He also will continue to make music with Birdman and release compilations with Young Money. In the aforementioned Jimmy Kimmel interview Lil’ Wayne said he was hoping after retiring he could spend more time with his kids and do “regular [non-famous people] stuff.”
