A private meeting between Senator Barack Obama (D-Il) and multi-platinum selling rapper Ludacris took place at Obama’s Chicago office recently. Luda was in the Windy City to launch the YouthAIDS campaign designed to increase HIV/AIDS awareness at Northwestern University, Chicago.

"We talked about empowering the youth," said Luda after the meeting. The rapper also said that the meeting was like meeting with a relative.

Obama, a Presidential hopeful in 2008, refused to comment after their meeting but walked with Ludacris (born Chris Bridges) to the elevator as he left.

Barack Obama is slated to appear on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,"  this Friday (December 1st) to discuss his new best-seller, The Audacity of Hope. Obama’s prior work, Dreams From My Father, earned him a Grammy Award in the Spoken Word Album category earlier this year.

Luda‘s latest album, Release Therapy, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 back in September.
