In a recent interview with CBS News, “What’s Trending”, Lupe Fiasco expresses his opinion on Obama/U.S. goverment by stating:

“To me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America,” he said. “For me, I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root cause of terrorism is the stuff that the U.S. government allows to happen, the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it’s easy for us, because it’s really just some oil that we can really get on our own.”

He also mentions that because of politicians hidden agendas he doesn’t vote nor get involved with politics.

“I don’t vote. I don’t get involved in politics. Because it’s meaningless, to be honest. First of all, I’m a real big believer if I’m going to vouch for someone, I’m going to stand behind everything they do,” he continued. “If I’m going to say I stand behind this person and write on a piece of paper that says I stand for this person, then I have to take responsibility for everything that he does. Because that’s just how I am as a human being. Politicians aren’t going to do that, because I don’t want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere.”

  1. That is an interesting spin…ignorant because he speaks his mind. It is ignorant because his opinion of Obama is not founded on any legitimate evidence. The policies the US has put in place have long been in place prior to Obama and are far from the reason terrorism is spawned. Islamic extremists  don't give a rats ass about our policy. They are against us because we dont submit to sharia law. To further make my point, he is not speaking his mind to educate the masses, he is trying to sell a product and create controversy in order to make those sales. I appreciate you as a person.

  2. Yep, I agree with 420. I hear so many individuals who state similar topics such as Lupe, and they do it without substantiating their opinion-in a weak attempt to sound intelligent.
