It seems like rappers are using their pen skills for something other than rhyming these days and are turning toward writing books.
The latest to join the likes of 50 Cent, Soulja Boy, & Styles P is Lupe Fiasco. In a recent interview with 3News New Zealand, Lupe discusses being a writer and how as a child he was always a good story teller. Lupe says:
”I started as a writer, since I was little kid I’ve been telling stories and Hip-Hop has been an extension of me telling stories so it’s kind of like me putting it in a more traditional form as far as a book.”
No word on when the book is set to hit stores, but it will be released under Lupe’s government, Wasalu Muhammed Jaco.
