Lupe Fiasco is among the roster of artists recruited by Pepsi for an ad campaign that will run during the NFL playoffs. During the commercial breaks of the AFC Championship, Lupe will dissect the match-up with his rhymes by dropping stats and name checking players. DJ Premier’s artist, Nick Javas, also appears in the ads and trades bars with Lupe. It’s pretty crazy, because every week he’s been doing these Rhyme Reel videos where he breaks down everything that happened in the NFL during the week and I guess it caught the League’s attention because he’s in all of the NFL Audible ads. In fact, an additional commercial solely featuring Javas, shot in similar fashion to the Rhyme Reels, will air during the AFC Championship game between Jets and the Steelers. Previously, Talib Kweli, Big Boi and B.o.B have appeared in Pepsi Max/NFL Audible ads throughout the football season.
