Lupe hit up Tony Touch’s Toca Tuesday radio show last night and spoke on his upcoming album Lasers via Atlantic Records. Her explained the title of the new LP saying:

“It’s called Lasers, it stands for Love Always Shines Every Time, Remember the Smile.”

The first single off the album is set to be “I’m Beaming“, which was recently leaked. Lupe says:

“It wasn’t meant to be the first single, but it’s the first look, produced by The Neptunes… It’s actually the first record on the album as well.”

He also goes into collabos for the album from Chad Hugo, Pharrell, Soundtrakk, Danjahandz, King David and his own band 1500 Or Nothing. There’s also been word of a Jay Electronica collab for the album, but Lupe shut that down quick sating that he might just do a whole album with Jay. Lupe says:

“I wanna do a whole album with Jay,” he told the New York DJ, “He’s a good guy, and I respect him as an MC.”

No word on when Lasers is set to drop, but Lupe’s let everyone know that he’s handed it in to Atlantic, so it’s on them now.
