Contrary to public belief, Mariah Carey will not be engaging in a chart battle with Mary J Blige a la 50 Cent vs. Kanye West. In fact, the R&B star has postponed the release of her eagerly awaited new LP to February 2008. The disc was originally scheduled for December 4th, but will now drop sometime in February.
Mariah is not the only R&B diva dropping an album this winter. Mary J Blige’s Growing Pains is billed for November 20th. CDs from Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, and Madonna are also set to hit shelves in the coming months.
