Michael Jackson has proven to be most profitable after his untimely demise.  His estate has negotiated the richest record deal in history – a $200 million guaranteed contract with Sony Music Entertainment for 10 projects over seven years.  With incentives, this number could increase by another $50 million.  This contract has several projects already completed such as the double-disc attached to his posthumous This Is It documentary.  Other projects speculated to be a part of this deal are a comprehensive video collection on DVD, a re-release of Off The Wall and other unreleased material. MJ has already sold more than 31 million records since his death last June.
