      It was a somewhat quiet 2006 for Mike Jones, but that’s because he’s been busy working for 2007. Jones has announced that he will release his new album, The American Dream in April on Swishahouse/Asylum/Warner Bros. Records. The first single from the album, “Mr. Jones”, was produced by Myke Diesel and is already making its way around the web.

      In addition, Jones will drop The American Dream the movie – straight to DVD – around the same time as the album. Jones not only stars in the film, but also produced it and co-directed it with director Derrick Dixon. The story is loosely based on Jones’ life growing up in Houston to becoming a rap star.
