This afternoon, HipHopDX spoke to M.O.P.’s (Mash Out Posse) Billy Danze. The legendary Brooklyn emcee gave out some inside details of what to expect and who to expect on his upcoming solo debut, and how  he is helping up-coming artists with

The solo album Behind Gates, is set to pull in features from some heavy hitters like Busta, Slaughterhouse, and members of the Wu. The guest appearances are not official yet, but he definitely will be in good company on his first solo project.

Billy’s other venture is his way to help unsigned artists using his connections and experience to further their career. Billy is taking this site global and bringing the talented hopefuls with him, “We build records. We’ll take an artist from New York City, if we like what he does on the track, we’ll keep him. We’ll take another artist, from Canada. If we like what he does on the track, we’ll keep him. Same deal with [an emcee] from Germany. Three-way cross promotion, then it’s like you’re cheatin’ ’cause you’ve got the biggest producer in the world [on the beat] and I’m gonna hand the deejay the record myself. We have 23 different countries involved right now.”

M.O.P. is performing in their hometown of Brooklyn April 7th with Top $ Raz at Southpaw.
