Music Sales Are Up!

This is great news.  The music business has been deteriorating in a lot of aspects.  That being said I feel like with newly emerging models in the business things had to change.  Cut the fat out if you will.  I have had a gut feeling sales have been up.  Especially seeing some of the sales numbers that came out yesterday.  However now there is some factual proof.  For the first time since 2004 music sales are actually up, albeit only 1%.  The important thing is that digital sales are up 20%.  That is the great news.  It’s looking like more people are getting familiar with technology and buying media digitally.  As much as we like to sh*t on labels we want the people who invest in art to make money.  Means they will keep investing and more importantly take risks with their investments.
