      As the awards season starts to die down, there are a few more organizations wanting to give out recognition. The nominations for the Annual Urban Music Awards were announced over the weekend and be held at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on July 7, 2007.

      These awards were originally launched in the U.K. in 2003 and are totally voted on by the public. They recognize not only the artists and the music but also radio stations and personalities along with TV shows, entrepreneurs and video chicks.
