In a recent interview with MTV Diddy explained about his new era for Bad Boy Records, since Diddy has taken his label to a new company, recently announcing a partnership with Interscope Records after spending the past five years at Atlantic Records. The new union will usher in Diddy’s next LP, the much-hyped concept album Last Train to Paris. This album will feature a slew of artist like Drake, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and possibly Jay-Z.
Diddy said Interscope — which includes Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent and Lady Gaga, among others — is the best home for the high-minded project, tentatively slated for an early 2010 release.
“The Last Train to Paris album is definitely a perfect fit for the whole Interscope system, because the album is pushing the envelope, it’s something fresh and it’s something new,” he told MTV News. “And we know that when Interscope gets behind an album and gets behind an artist that it breaks big.” Watch the rest of interview and see for yourself :
The feud between Jay-Z and rapper Fat Joe may be simmering down, but it’s not over. Both attended a party at club Imperial the other night, and spies said they didn’t speak at all. One source says, ‘Jay-Z arrived and totally upstaged Fat Joe. He rolled up in a Jeep with no roof or doors, and was blasting out his new song. Then, when he got into the DJ booth, the whole club just came to a standstill. Fat Joe was not a happy camper. He made sure he wasn’t in the DJ booth when Jay-Z was there.
