Obama Makes History

      On Tuesday, Obama became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, marking the first time an African-American will head the ticket of a major political party.

      Standing before a crowd of thousands Tuesday in St. Paul, Minnesota, Obama declared himself the Democratic nominee.

"Tonight we mark the end of one historic journey with the beginning of another — a journey that will bring a new and better day to America, " I can stand before you and say that I will be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States."

      Sen. Hillary Clinton says she’s not out, but with rival Sen. Barack Obama securing his long-held lead, many are asking what she plans to do next.

      Previewing the battle ahead, Obama laid out his case against Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee. "This is our time. Our time to turn the page on the policies of the past"

 "It’s not change when John McCain decided to stand with George Bush 95 percent of the time, as he did in the Senate last year."

      But just hours earlier, McCain argued he represents the change the country needs.

The question still remains…. Will Hillary Clinton join the ticket as Vice President?

  2. This ain’t historic. We have already had aleast 13 Black or mulato presidents. 7 before george washington and adleast 6 after. Read the book “The six Black Presidents” and look-up President John Hanson to find the other 7. OBAMA BETTA NOT SELL US OUT!!!!!!!

  3. bout time we got a intelligent intellectual black man runnen 4 president that could make a dramatic change 2 tha way tha country is run… all i gotta say is its time 4 real change a change 4 the better cause sticking 2 the script isnt working and nevr will as 4 the black pres comment i didnt c them in the back of my history book, needs some color!!!

  4. John Hanson was the first Black president (A Moor), before george washington. Black People ran this country and the world before columbus. Read the book “They Came Before Columbus” by Ivan Van Sertima.

  5. thank god a fellow moor came thru here, yea man, we’ve had black (moorish) presidents, but none of them were puppets like obama is going to be. realize that he is a freemason, and doesn’t care about any of us, he’s here to lead us further astray. looks like it’s working according to plan.

  6. Educate me…. John Hansen don’t look too black to me? Then also, If he was truly black why didn’t he work to free his brothers and sisters from slavery? being from the south did he too have slaves?
