A pretty high-brow study has been released which looks at the SAT results of college students and their choice of music. According to this study by Virgil Griffith, an eighties baby computer hacker who has violated the economic espionage act on more than one occasion, if you listen to Lil Wayne, well you are at the lowest end of the scale, if you listen to German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, well Mensa is calling you, Harvard needs you and well you are just the brightest button in the box.
Also joining Lil Wayne in the lower region of the scale are TI, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson. Funny how all those powerful musical minds who vote on the Grammys gave Wayne all those nods right? Of course this isn’t the first study of its kind and I doubt it will be the last regardless of its limited resources. The findings of a Canadian study which took ninth graders from a specific area who were quizzed about their tastes in music and how advanced they were sexually revealed that the kid listening to music with sexual references and connotations the most is twice as likely to have sex than those who keep away from the same music.
Obviously Jamaica is in agreement with such ‘studies’ having banned the sexually suggestive music from radio and TV on the island earlier this month saying it encourages violence and uncalled for behavior. What happened to people just being more accountable for their actions, why does the blame always land with something or someone else?
