So according to ESPN Plaxico Burress has accepted a plea bargain that will force him to serve 2 Years in prison on a  criminal possession of a weapon charge.  Plaxico will most likely serve just 20 months, but had he fought the charges and been found guilty could have served up to 3 1/2 years.  Before everyone wants to feel bad for the guy you have to remeber that the only reason he got caught was because he shot himself in the leg, in a crowded Manhattan nightclub.  I don’t care how thug you are, I live in Manhattan and there is absolutley no need for a gun.  Particularly in the west side club district.  Be sure to go here for full details, and a video explication from Plaxico‘s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman.  NYC Gun Laws are not to be played with.
