Rap Game Remembers Nate Dogg

The world lost Nate Dogg on March 15th.  Game was one of the first to honor the late West Coast vocalist by releasing a tribute song over the weekend.  The two previously collaborated on “Where I’m From” and “Special” from Game’s 2005  album, The Documentary, and again on “Too Much.” This isn’t the best track, but it’s good to see the Hip Hop community remembering such an incredible talent.

This past weekend at SXSW, Snoop Dogg, Warren G and The Dogg Pound held a special impromptu tribute to Nate.   Mayer Hawthorne and Dam-Funk were also on hand for the tribute.  Fellow herb enthusiast, Wiz Khalifa also saluted Nate Dogg by chanting “smoke weed everyday” before playing “Xxplosive” during his South-By performance…footage below
