R&B Jumpoffs

First off be sure to check out my pretty in depth review of Ryan Leslie’s listening party.  I’ve never been so impressed with an artist.

-Wow, I’m kind of liking Shakira these days.  This track is nice.  She also dropped “She Wolf Remix” recently with T-Pain which was also impressive.  She must be dropping a project soon, but I’m not sure of the details.

-Joss Stone links up with Nas for some real Rhythm and Blues.  This is on some 1950′s sh*t and I like it.  Cop this one.

-Robin Thicke is one of my favorites, but this is no good.  Word on the street is that he’s a complete stooge of Interscope records.  Just does whatever they tell him to do, and refuses to think for himself.  Not a good look.

-I’ve never really liked Toni Braxton, but she linked up with the hottest R&B singer out right now, Trey Songz.  Trey shows that he can really sing on this track.  That being said it bores me.  I might pass on this one.  Yuuup!!!

-The Noisettes are a UK based group that to be honest I’m not to familiar with.  I do know they were smart enough to get Wale & Estelle on the feature tip.  Definitely has a poppy/European influence, but I like it.  Cop it.

-Speaking of artists from the UK with a heavy electric sound I got a track from Taio Cruz.  The theme of the song is tricking girls into sending naked pictures of themselves, which is obviously an awesome theme.  I like the bassline a lot on this joint.
