If you’ve seen his cameo in Judd Apatow’s Funny People or his infamous scene alongside GZA and Bill Murray in Coffee And Cigarettes, then you already know how funny RZA is on camera.  It looks like the writers for Californication recognize Bobby Digital’s comedic gift, as they just cast him in a reoccurring role for the fifth season of the Showtime sensation.

RZA will appear alongside womanizing author Hank Moody (played by David Duchovny) as a rapper named Apocalypse who seeks Moody’s services.  Complex describes Apocalypse as “an extreme-living, mega-rich hip hop mogul who hires Hank to write a screenplay for his hot new film.”

If you haven’t seen Californication, you’re missing out.  Hank already does plenty of “extreme-living” by constantly getting lit and banging everything in arms-length.  RZA is recently wrapped up filming in China for his directorial debut, The Man With The Iron Fist.
