Sammy $urf Releases “Nu Wave” Video From ‘A3C Volume 7’ Album

The A3C album, in partnership with iHipHop Distribution, is a prime platform for burgeoning artists to demonstrate why they deserve to be woven into hip-hop’s narrative of “who’s next”. With the 2017 album, Volume 7, consisting of promising upstarts, like Kodie Shane and Jimmy Wopo, it’s another apt barometer for testing hip-hop’s deep underground talent pool. One young man poised to leverage his Volume 7 placement for ubiquity is College Park, Georgia’s own Sammy $urf with his A3C contribution, “Nu Wave”. Today, Sammy, in partnership with iHipHop Distribution, has released this track’s music video.

Directed by Brann, the “Nu Wave” video is a fun, creative offering that mirrors Sammy’s light-hearted style. Vivid imagery structures the visual’s eye-popping aesthetic, and finds Sammy literally surfing through Atlanta on his “new wave”, properly contextualizing the song’s meaning. Sammy $urf is riding his new wave to stardom.

The A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution are proud to announce their renewed partnership for the ninth installment of their annual compilation series. As reported by HipHopDX, A3C Volume 9 will also commemorate A3C’s fifteen year anniversary as a festival rooted in showcasing emerging artists from across the country.  The previous editions of the A3C compilation included numerous soon-to-be mainstay artist’s in hip-hop, allowing the series to receive recognition from a variety of outlets, with editors from Apple Music raving, “The A&R rep has done a commendable job, cherry-picking some of the most promising, would-be rap stars from countless wannabes.”
