It’s been a few weeks since we’ve heard news on Slaughterhouse’s sophomore album; but it looks like the wait is over.  On the latest edition of Joe Budden TV, the Jersey native informed the web that he and his cohorts are currently in the studio with Eminem working on the follow-up to their 2009 self-titled album.  Speaking on what is presumably “Session Two” (part two of the bonus track from Recovery), Budden stated, “I feel like it’s not fair, because [Eminem] can do so many different things with his voice…Em did his verse first, Royce heard it first, did his second, then Crook did his, and then Em rewrote his… Joell’s is done, but I think he might be rewriting his.”  Budden went on to lightheartedly claim “if everybody’s doing all this re-writing, I don’t really need to hear it; I just have to assume everybody’s writing the verse of a lifetime  …if you thought Royce’s verse was ill on ‘Remember the Titans‘…that sh*t is weak in comparison [to this]”

It seems like the pressure of working with Eminem will only force each Slaughterhouse member to be more competitive and in turn will increase the quality of the group’s next release.  You can listen to Budden speak more in depth on recording with Eminem and check out a snippet of Crooked I and Royce Da 5’9″s verses from their unreleased collaboration with Slim Shady below.
