In an interview with AllHipHop, Soulja Boy hinted at the production of a film based on his life story. The alleged biopic would star Soulja Boy and showcase his rise to fame. According to Soulja Boy, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, “These people have been pitching me this movie idea for so long, and now I am letting them orchestrate my art and tell my story and let people see it on the big screen.”
The film that has the working title of The Deandre Way, is named after his third studio album which hits stores tomorrow. Apparently you won’t have to be a Soulja Boy fan to enjoy the film, as Soulja told AllHipHop, “a lot of people say ‘Soulja Boy is a one hit wonder, and he’s lucky. It’s not even about music. It’s about a success story, but it’s a true story from the bottom to the top, a true success story.” According to Soulja Boy, his latest album, which features “Pretty Boy Swag” and “Mean Mug” is “more personal and more real” than his previous efforts…oh boy.
