LL has been releasing some tracks from his upcoming final album Exit 13 lately, and the latest installment is “Feel My Heart Beat” featuring 50 Cent. The track is pretty bouncy and sound like it could be a single, and 50 lends yet another quality hook to his cohort. The idea of the song is LL hitting on a girl, apparently. I have to admit, I hate when rappers have wives and children and are still rapping about this shit, but so be it. He’s not the first, and he won’t be the last. So download the track below and let us know what you guys think.
perspective‘s two cents: Twenty bucks says these guys spent 20 minutes in front of the mirror admiring each others pecs, and then made out just to see what it would feel like.

…surprise surprise LAX. The tape called LAX Touchdown from the three uniteers is supposed to drop August 26th, just to stir up a little more controversy between the Queens collective and Game. But just when is this Banks tape going to drop, we have been hearing music from it now for what seems like months but still no tape…and now this. Word on the street…again is that Banks is looking to get off G Unit but word from the camp is that that is nothing but a rumor and Banks is staying loyal.

Looks like 50 is giving investigators the run around when it comes to be questioned about the fire that broke out at his Dix Hills, Long Island home in May. The house which was at the center of an ongoing feud between the rapper and Shaniqua Tompkins, his former girlfriend and mother of his ten year old son Marquise burned to the ground and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined. It is standard procedure for fire officials and the arson team to meet with the owner of the said property in every instance regarding a fire. However as of yet 50 has not made any attempt to meet with officials regarding this matter. Legal counsel for Tompkins are implying that this is 50 Cent trying to hinder the progression of the case. Response has yet to be made from Curtis’s camp.

The 50 Cent the rap world has come to know and love (or hate) has been one who’s rather obnoxious, vengeful and consistently willing to beef with anyone who comes his way. But, in a recent interview with MTV News, 50 talked about his mentor Dr. Dre, their recording process, and why the fu** Dre just won’t put out Detox. In the interview, 50 explained his time in the lab with Dre - “When I walk in the studio, I record the first [beat] that comes on regardless if I think it’s a hit record or not. We get in work mode, get comfortable and go through the material that’s in the computer. Dre always has hit records. Sometimes, artists that need producers, they need someone to create a direction for them musically. I need the jewels he’s just got laying around. He don’t gotta tell me what to do with it.”Further, when 50 was asked about Detox, he explained, “Hopefully he get it done and put it out. I’m waiting for the Detox.” Yet another artist drops his two cents, and gives patient fans no timeline or hope. If this album ever drops, I think it’s cause for a national holiday…perhaps Dre Day?Look out for 50′s Before I Self-Destruct and Dr. Dre’s Detox to drop before 2009.

Freeway, arguably the only Rocafella soldier who can actually rap (besides Jay, of course), is back. If you recall, Free’s debut album, Philadelphia Freeway, was absolutely amazing. It had guest spots from Jay, Beanie Sigel, Nate Dogg and was produced almost in its entirety by Kanye West and Just Blaze. Free was definitely the first to set himself apart from the other Roc rhymers, and to this day his voice and flow is unlike most artists we’ve heard. For his second album, Free gained a cosign from 50 Cent and his album Free at Last featured guests like Jay, 50, Busta Rhymes and Scarface. Now, less than a year after Free at Last, free is bumping some new sh*t. His new track, aptly titled “Bumping My New Shit.” To check out Free on his A-game, click here to download the track. Check out a preview for the track here.

As rumors circulated the web about Jimmy Iovine being in next in the unemployment line, turns out all the stories about Curtis ‘Interscope’ Jackson being part of the problem were ….WRONG. As of now Mr Iovine still holds the Chairman job over at Interscope/Geffen/A&M and it doesn’t look like he is going anywhere soon.
