If I could give dude a break I would, but SRC fake – Konvict Akon had YET another altercation with a fan while at a show in South Africa this past weekend. The singer who decided to surf the crowd was being pulled at by a female fan who was a lil too pully (not a word I know but best I can come up with right now) when he smacked her into the crowd. I feel another law suit with his name on there coming up next.
Looks like Pretty in Pink rapper Cam’Ron is planning that come back. Calling in to Dipset Radio, Cam explained that he would be back on the charts in late fall, November to be exact with his next project Crime Pays. This will be the follow up to Killa Season, the album which didn’t even hit gold status when it was released in May 2006. Crime Pays however which will be released through SRC will be at press time void of Jim Jones and Juelz Santana who Cam’Ron has publicly had issues with over the last year.
He recently sold Juelz Santana’s project to Def Jam for two million dollars, allowing the Harlem MC the chance to start releasing music on his own again. It is expected that Akon and Dipset member Hell Rell will be on Crime Pays when it hits shelves in November.
Two years since he released his Inspiration album, Atlanta’s prodigal son Young Jeezy has announced that his new project The Recession will be available on September 2nd. The album which features artists such as Akon, The Game and Kanye West also boasts production from names such as Jazze Pha, DJ Toomp and Shawty Redd.
In preparation for the release, Jeezy will be embarking on a three week promo tour which will have the rapper calling into cities such as Detroit, Cleveland, New York, New Orleans and Dallas. Inspiration to date has sold close to 1.5 million copies.
