How are you spending your Monday? Me, you ask? Trapped inside my apartment courtesy of this blizzard currently reeking supreme havoc on my city. Thankfully I am keeping busy bumping tunes and stuffing my fat face with pizza and coffee. And I’m in additional luck because heavyweight producer Carnage is fittingly dropping this new banger featuring A$AP Ferg, Rich the Kid and Lil Uzi Vert. Why does this new song indict luck? Because when you’re suffering from cabin fever there is no cure better than a good ol’ banger that’ll keep you entertained for hours. Peep Carnage’s “WDYW” featuring A$AP Ferg, Rich the Kid and Lil Uzi Vert after the jump!
The hyperkinetic and frantic collaboration between Young Thug, A$AP Ferg and Freddie Gibbs “Old English” receives a fittingly odd and offbeat animated visual treatment a la that of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Check out the colorful video for “Old English” after the jump.
The slew of free releases keeps on coming this Black Friday! First you were treated with Wu-Tang Clan’s A Better Tomorrow, the collective’s first album in over seven years, then B.o.B dropped a freebie on you with New Black, and now as promised A$AP Ferg is lending you some brand new heat with his DJ Drama hosted Ferg Forever mixtape. The mixtape features a whopping 19 brand new cuts (including “Perfume,” “Doe-Active,” and “Talk It”) with a star-studded guest list (M.I.A., SZA, Twista, Big Sean, Wynter Gordon, and YG.) Peep Fergenstein’s Ferg Forever tape after the jump!
A$AP and their promises… tsk tsk. We already know how that story goes. But despite the constant push backs, delays, and flat out projects being scrapped the A$AP Mob is good at dropping that heat when everyone is least expecting it. You may recall Rocky dropping the aggressive “Multiply” out of the blue back in early October and looks as though Ferg is following suit with the equally menacing and braggadocios new cut “Perfume”. To sum up Ferg’s new song in one word: banger. “Perfume”, produced by Philo$ Cult, is set to appear on his upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape, Ferg Forever. But we’ll see about that. Listen after the jump!
Harlem based producer Crystal Caines is joined by native Harlem rapper A$AP Ferg for “Whiteline”. As with anything visual pertaining A$AP Ferg you’re going to get a super crazy, hyper-stylized video. This one is certainly no exception. Check it out after the jump.
Besides topping the charts on Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” single, Juicy J has had himself an awfully quiet 2014 thus far. But have no fear, as the Juice Mane stay trippy even when you’re least suspecting. And today the Memphis OG shared a new track “Ice” featuring Future and A$AP Ferg. The track is also produced by frequent collaborator Mike Will Made It. It bangs. After the jump!
One of our most highly anticipated albums to come is Big K.R.I.T.’s Cadillactica but before K.R.I.T. is set to drop that, he’s prepping the release of his new mixtape, See Me On Top Vol. 4 which is set to come out later today. Now, K.R.I.T. has given the fans something to listen to while they patiently wait. Peep “Drinkers Club” which features Juicy J, Rittz, and A$AP Ferg. After the jump!
As we progress as a culture, the fine line between hip-hop and electronic music becomes evermore obscured. And perhaps that’s a good thing because as a result we get interesting, new music and ideas. Case in point: this new track by the elusive UK producer SBTRKT featuring Harlem spitter/crooner ASAP Ferg. SBTRKT’s cloudy production, slow and steady tempo is a perfect catalyst for Ferg to lay down some outrageous vocals and bizarre lyrics. Don’t believe us? Check it out for yourself after the jump.
During the A$AP Mob’s set at Coachella, Rocky decides to take the opportunity to debut some new music (32 minute mark). This sounds hard.
