Yesterday we shared a new Agallah track, “Rolling Stoned,” which is set to appear on the rapper’s forthcoming album Agalito’s Way, dropping May 5th. Now he returns with “Get Your Sh*t Together” featuring the legendary Big Daddy Kane. “Working with Kane was an honor and a dream of mines and I’m glad to have him rock on Agalito’s Way. He’s the O.G. Respect the Golden Era,” says Agallah. “If it wasn’t for cats like Kane and Rakim, I wouldn’t be a part of this culture the way I am.” Check out “Get Your Sh*t Together” after the jump.
When Big Daddy Kane isn’t linking up with a prestigious global brand he is also a legendary rapper. And despite being best known for his work in the late 80s-early 90s he still has it. This is evident by his new track “The Times” where BDK is truly spitting some ill sh*t. Listen to Big Daddy Kane’s “The Times” produced by UK’s Dr. G after the jump.
The legendary emcee Big Daddy Kane, who is a pioneer in the hip-hop game, is also known for his trendsetting ways via fashion. On top of being a first rate lyricist who has influenced countless rappers from Jay Z to Eminem, Big Daddy’s fashion game also helped establish the quintessential rapper aesthetic. From the oversized dookie chain to the clean high-top fade BDK’s entire flamboyant image has remained intact to this day. So it only makes sense for a prestigious global brand like British Walker to link up with Big Daddy himself for a limited edition line of custom BDK shoes. Only 500 BDKs will produced so get ’em while they’re hot! And while you’re at it check out this two minute clip of Big Daddy Kane explaining British Walker’s influence on him and his hood. After the jump!
Who said hip-hop is dead? It just keeps coming back like project roaches. In places where you least expect it. Try to count all off the names, lyrics, and titles in this sportscaster’s report on college football. No diggity, no doubt.
Looks like Brooklyn’s Don Diva is ready to get back to some serious work, well if you can call performing at BB Kings in NYC serious work that is. Foxy who spent eight months in prison on a variety of charges will be sharing the bill with Big Daddy Kane and Roxanne Shante. Not sure what to think of that line up really…Big Daddy Kane, Roxanne Shante and Foxy Brown with special guest Spraga Benz doesn’t really sound right to me for some reason.
