A brief clip of Curren$y and Mel B. on the Eric Andre Show. The full appearance on Adult Swim.
The genius of well-placed satire: basic re-enactment turned awesome.
File this in the “Why Wasn’t I There?” section. Two of comedy’s biggest names shared the stage early Tuesday morning in an impromptu performance at New York City’s Comedy Cellar. Throughout the week the two have performed separately at the Cellar, trying out new material; Rock because he’s preparing for an new standup special, and Chappelle because…well, who knows, just be thankful he’s still doing standup. After performing solo for about 45 minutes, Dave Chappelle was joined by Chris Rock who took the stage to tell the audience, “Aw, you lucky motherf*ckers.” Read More
Is Callius Moon a disturbed individual with a comedic side or does he just have a penchant for hip-hop that defies logic? In one of the most bizarre courtroom defenses ever caught on camera, Moon, a Detroit resident accused of threatening to kill his girlfriend, took the stand to show off his impressive off-the-dome vernacular. Surprised by what he heard, District Judge John Chmura told Moon “that’s good” and actually admitted to being impressed before asking Moon if he will require a court-appointed attorney. Family members of Moon, who also faces charges ranging from destruction of police property to disturbing the peace, claim that he suffers from mental illness. HIt the jump for the outrageous video of what happened in court last week. Read More
Andy Samberg made his return to Saturday Night Live this past weekend to perform in one of his signature digital shorts alongside The Lonely Island, guest host Adam Levine and musical guest Kendrick Lamar. This is actually the first single from The Lonely Island’s forthcoming album and is currently available for download on iTunes. By the way, awesome cameo from Danny McBride in this one.
I had to post this as soon as I peeped it. Bilal (this Bilal, not the singer) and Dizaster (best known for tearing up Canibus after he choked at KOD) stopped by a local KFC and placed their order in rhymes. Yeah, this is sort of corny, but at the same time they came with a smooth delivery and some pretty funny lines. I wonder if this is how Rick Ross rolls through Wingstop.
For those unfamiliar with Chicago’s infamous Weiner Circle, it’s a hot dog joint run by a gang of abrasive servers that insult the patrons on a regular basis. For the past week, Conan has been filmed in Chicago and last night the late night host sent Jack McBrayer of 30 Rock fame and Triumph The Insult Comic Dog to the hole-in-the-wall spot to stir things up. The results; a slew of quotables and probably some of the best insults that you’ve heard in a minute. Check it out.
Declaring, “I don’t take no orders from no women,” Ihor Stetkewycz became a viral phenomenon this weekend when he was confronted by ABC 7 news in Detroit about dumping large amounts of wood in the middle of the road. This has absolutely nothing to do with hip-hop, but it’s definitely entertaining.
