New Charles Hamilton Mixtape

 |  September 16, 2008

About a week ago, I posted a new mixtape from rapper/blogger extraordinaire Charles Hamilton. As I stated, his Hamiltonization Process is in full swing and that means he’s dropping mixtape after mixtape on frequented blog sites. His latest is J. Dilla inspired, and is fittingly titled And Then They Played Dilla.

I have to admit, it’s nice to see some respect paid for Dilla by Charles – and he even goes in on Jay Dee’s short instrumentals and makes his own. Pretty interesting. I still don’t know if I’m a fan – but I’m getting there. Download below and enjoy.

Charles Hamilton – And Then They Played Dilla Mixtape

Charles Hamilton has been making waves recently after dropping several mixtapes and getting signed by Interscope Records. The young rapper is multi-talented – he song-writes, produces and raps, and is heavily influenced by gaming.

In recent news, Hamilton has announced a planned Virtual Tour over the next months, that doesn’t include any physical venues. Confused? Well – Hamilton will team up with sites like, and, where new music from Hamilton will be streamed for two weeks. Users can also embed the music through their own Imeem accounts.

Hamilton is planning to reach over 2 million new listeners. Let us know what you think, and if it will actually work. Maybe this is the new formula for artist’s to get rich. Hmm…
