Freddie Gibbs is sharing another track from his forthcoming new album, Shadow of a Doubt, which is officially dropping tomorrow (November 20th). This time Gangsta Gibbs is linking up with Gucci Mane and E-40 for “10 Times,” produced by Sid “Speakerbomb” Miller. The track is the third cut Gibbs has shared from Shadow of a Doubt — following “Fuckin’ Up the Count,” “Extradite” featuring Black Thought, and “Packages” featuring ManMan Savage. Hit the jump to bump Gibbs’ “10 Times” featuring Big Guwop and 40 Water.
Despite remaining incarcerated, Gucci Mane’s music continues its pursuit to reach the masses. After sharing the soundtrack to his forthcoming film The Spot, the self-proclaimed Trap God is back with new music. Produced by Chop Squad, the banging “1 Foot Forward” will find its way onto the producer’s freshly squeezed Forever Chop Squad mixtape. Listen to Gucci Mane’s latest loose track “1 Foot Forward” after the jump.
Jeezy recently released “GOD,” a track from his forthcoming project. And today we’re getting a Gucci Mane remix of the track. This doesn’t happen often, as the two do not see eye-to-eye (and haven’t since 2005), but this is a rare moment when they’re linked up together. Listen to Jeezy’s “GOD” featuring Gucci Mane after the jump.
Gucci Mane’s got a movie coming out. No, that’s not a typo — yes, a movie. It’s called The Spot, which of course will be dropping on October 17th (1017, you poser.) And there’s also a soundtrack because let’s not forget: Gucci is a musically-inclined individual. The soundtrack will most likely be released in conjunction with The Spot’s release but we’re being treated to an early leak with “No Problems,” featuring fellow ATL stalwarts Rich Homie Quan and Peewee Longway. Yes, there is indeed a verse from Guwop himself. Listen to “No Problems” from the incarcerated Gucci Mane after the jump.
Young Thug will be dropping quite a few projects relatively soon. Firstly, his debut album, HiTunes, will be out in September (the 14th to be exact.) Then there’s Slime Season, his collaborative mixtape with producer London on da Track — that’s coming real soon. And as promised, Thug is sharing “Again,” the first single from the forthcoming Slime Season. Check out the video after the jump…
I am a huge Gucci Mane fan. In fact, that’s an understatement — I’ve been supporting bro for a minute now. I recall the whole Gucci/Jeezy beef at its most palpable. I also recall many not siding with Gucci — even stooping as low as calling him a Jeezy wannabe. Yikes! It was a weird time but now it’s clear that Gucci is the true Trap God of Atlanta and he has put his city on his back for almost two decades. Not to mention the unbelievable impact his taste has had on hip-hop culture — he’s the ultimate cosigner. But one thing I dislike is when Gucci “links up” with a bunch of weed carriers who are merely here to co-opt the legend’s status in the street rap scene. That’s not to say one Playboi Carti and 21 Savage don’t hold their own on this new track, “Peepin’,” it’s just not the lane Gucci should be heading in at the moment. Or maybe ever? The result is always clunky. Gucci? He does his thing and C4 is on the production, so just peep the track for that. After the jump.
In case you haven’t heard, there are over three full hard drives full of unreleased Gucci Mane material just sitting around. And depending on your taste level that’s either a good thing or a bad thing. Regardless, that’s a whole lot of Gucci. And today you’re getting another unreleased Gucci track, as he sits in prison. This time it’s “Down on That” featuring young ATL hotshot, Young Thug. Listen after the jump.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Atlanta OG Gucci Mane will approximately be spending the next 39 months in federal prison. And with that fellow Atlantan Young Scooter, who isn’t exactly cool with the sentencing, is paying tribute to the 1017 Bricksquad head honcho with “Free Guwop.” Peep Young Scooter’s “Free Guwop” after the jump.
Thanksgiving is here! Thanksgiving is here! But it’s not all fun and games and stuffing your face with food. While we sit comfortably in our humble abode with our loved ones, celebrating with a feast, there are those who go out and make sure to help those in need. Sadly, however, rappers aren’t exactly the first profession that’d cross your mind as being “helpful” as these are merely gangsters, drug dealers, and entertainers, right? Wrong. For example Birdman and Cash Money are participating in their 20th annual Turkey Giveaway this week. And that’s not all, as rappers like Jeezy, T.I., and Ludacris regularly find themselves helping local Atlanta natives enjoy their Thanksgiving as well. So, we here at iHipHop decided we’d attempt to dispel the myths of rappers being careless and lazy, and showcase their good deeds, by assembling a picture slideshow of them giving back on Thanksgiving. Enjoy and happy Thanksgiving!
Atlanta’s new school teams up with the city’s OG, Gucci Mane for “Lowest.” Although Gucci remains incarcerated (he will be for the next three or so years) he has managed to recruit Rich the Kid and OG Maco for this new heat. Listen after the jump.
Makonnen’s “I Don’t Sell Molly No More” received an official remix from Wiz Khalifa but surely that wasn’t enough. Now, we’ve got Gucci Mane jumping on another remix. Again this is a surprise to many as Big Guwop is currently incarcerated. Listen to the new, updated “I Don’t Sell Molly No More” remix featuring a verse from Gucci after the jump.
Big Guwop and super producer Mike Will Made It join forces for “Speed Bumps”, a track that will make an appearance on Gucci’s forthcoming Trap God 3 mixtape. When’s it dropping, you ask? 10/17. Listen after the jump.
The incarcerated Gucci Mane cannot be stopped, as his team continues to drop new music in his honor. Today we’ve got “Sh*t Wouldn’t Happen” produced by C4. The track is slated to appear on Gucci’s forthcoming Trap God 3 mixtape. Listen after the jump.
Gucci once stated he’s “…the god of making music people trap to” and with the incessant flooding of the streets with bangers it’s evident that Big Guwop wasn’t playing. His Trap God series is perhaps the best example of the aforementioned. And for the upcoming third installment of the Trap God series Gucci teams up with master ATL producer Zaytoven for “So Hoody”. After the jump.
