As previously Kanye West went on to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. And it was Taylor Swift who of course presented Ye with the award… because ratings. In addition to calling Ye a “friend,” she joked “I’mma let you finish, but Kanye West has had one of the greatest careers of all time,” referring to West’s infamous interruption in 2009. Ye went on a wild diatribe about kids, award shows, and even Justin Timberlake (who apparently inspired him.) Oh right, he also announced his run for President in the 2020 election. Okay, cool. You can watch the entire video after the jump.

French Montana is joined by Rick Ross and Lil Wayne for “Lose It,” a song that is being touted as a Gucci Mane tribute? Interesting. You know what else is interesting? That the song is produced by Kanye West (along with The Mekanicks.) “Lose It” will appear on French’s upcoming album, Mac & Cheese: The Album, dropping in August. Listen after the jump.
Last night, Kanye West was the headliner of Hot 107.9’s 20th Birthday Bash in Atlanta, GA. The set included a couple surprises, including an appearance from 2 Chainz during “Mercy” and a freestyle that referenced the recent murders in Charleston, South Carolina. While he was in Atlanta, West also hung out with OutKast at the Waffle House. He also reportedly spent some time in the studio with 2 Chainz. Check out the freestyle after the jump.
Vic Mensa and Kanye West’s aggressive new visuals for their collaborative single “U Mad” perfectly match the harsh vibes the music. Deep within some mystery, dimly-lit room, Yeezy slouches out from the darkness brandishing a crowbar, while Mensa starts a riot, writhes in a straightjacket, and stares down a bull. Watch the wild visuals for “U Mad” after the jump.

Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar have both had themselves a very busy 2015 thus far. For Kendrick he’s dropped his highly-anticipated sophomore studio album in To Pimp a Butterfly and Kanye has kept himself busy with fashion, multiple interviews, “All Day”, a guest verse here and there and his new album So Help Me God is forthcoming. And now the two join forces on ‘Ye’s “All Day” remix. Kendrick Lamar provides a full verse despite the inital leak only containing a part of it. You can check out Kendrick’s full verse on ‘Ye’s “All Day” after the jump.
The world is fiending for some new Kanye West. “Only One” wasn’t enough. “All Day” wasn’t enough. His guest appearance on Big Sean’s new album wasn’t enough. Everyone waiting for that So Help Me God to drop. Whenever that’ll happen. If ever. And now the song Vic Mensa has been teasing for over month is finally here. “U Mad” is a collaborative track between Mensa and ‘Ye. It features production from ‘Ye, Mike Dean, Smoko Ono, Stefan Ponce and Charlie Heat. That’s a whole lot of muscle to come up with such a deceptively simple track that sounds like it’s fit more for 2012 than 2015. Anyway, I won’t judge. You be the judge. Check it out after the jump.
A lot of rare Kanye West stuff is being unearthed as of late. First we have a Kendrick Lamar remix of “All Day” and now we’re being treated to a sneak peek of ‘Ye’s verse on Vic Mensa’s “U Mad” track. This track has been circulating for the last month or so, mostly byway of Vic Mensa’s live performances. But now we have Kanye’s full verse! You can check it out after the jump. As the kids say: it’s hard.
Kanye West dropped his street banger “All Day” in spectacular fashion (at the BRIT Awards while surrounded by mad goons dressed in all black and flamethrowers) and it appears as though one Kendrick Lamar will be appearing on the remix of the track. That’s right, the To Pimp a Butterfly emcee is on the remix of ‘Ye’s “All Day.” No word as to when the official, version drops but we’re guessing it’s just gonna drop outta nowhere — given the latest music release trends of the past couple years. You can check out a snippet below, which contains a lyrics from Kendrick that goes: “Chi-Town, we play for the free base/These days don’t believe what police say/DJs and the b-boys rush it.” Get at it!
