Maryland rapper Logic will be dropping his sophomore album, The Incredible True Story, next week, and after having shared “Young Jesus” and “Like Woah” he’s returning with “Fade Away”. After receiving some assistance from 6ix on the aforementioned “Young Jesus” and “Like Woah”, “Fade Away” features production handled only by Logic. Check out Logic’s “Fade Away” after the jump, and stay tuned for The Incredible True Story dropping November 13th.
Logic’s looking to follow-up last year’s Under Pressure — his debut album — with The Incredible True Story. In this offering, Logic who has declared himself the Young Sinatra in the past, has evolved into something great: “Young Jesus.” That’s a bold title to give yourself but judging from his new found confidence, Logic may perhaps earn that moniker. With fellow DMV rapper Big Lenbo in his corner, “Young Jesus” is a pretty killer track and a great offering from the forthcoming The Incredible True Story, which is due out later this year. Listen to “Young Jesus” from Logic after the jump.
PRhyme, the duo of DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9″, found some unexpected success late last year when they dropped their self-titled debut album. This collaboration is looking to pick up on that late effort heroics from last year by continuing releasing music under the PRhyme moniker. And today is a good day as they’re sharing “Mode” featuring Logic, another terrific rapper who put out a solid project last year. This track is a loosie that will be appearing on the Southpaw soundtrack (!!!), which is also said to be curated by Detroit’s Eminem. (Who is one-half of Bad Meets Evil with Royce — just saying.) Either way this is a solid all-around track that’s getting us here at iHipHop hyped on some more PRhyme ish in the future. Listen after the jump.
Logic’s debut full length studio album Under Pressure is out today and to celebrate the kid does what he does best: spit bars. And that’s precisely what the 24-year-old rapper from Gaithersburg, Maryland did in this video from BET’s The Backroom. Check out the flames that is Logic’s freestyle after the jump.
