Young Money artist Tyga just released his debut album, No Introduction, with virtually no introduction. However, Tyga is making some noise in the industry after dropping his album on the same day as Wayne’s and appearing on MTV with Wheezy. Tyga was also recently MTV’s Artist of the Week and is working on another video for his album. His first single off No Introduction, “Coconut Juice,” was an infectious club-hit, and for the remix, Tyga got Rich Boy and label-mate Lil’ Wayne to do guest spots. Download the track below. Why is Deelishis making accusations that Bussa Bus is really on the DL. I guess she knows that 5 mins of fame she secured by having a booty and a spot on a reality TV show is close to up, so she gotta keep relevant somehow. Turns out she was frothing at the mouth and trying to be all coy about it to the author of Hiding in Hip-Hop. Terrance Dean.
Dean a former MTV employee has written a book about being a gay man within the entertainment and Hip-Hop industries and he was in Deelishis’s home town of Detroit promoting the book when she started to spin her web, saying that she knew a couple of things about a ‘rapper’ she used to date. I mean the only reason the finger points to Busta is because she said he had cut off his hair…but I bet there are plenty of rappers on her list. Do we believe her? Or is she a woman who got knocked back?
One thing about Chris Bridges, is he always does things differently. he may have been snubbed by a certain outlet recently but he is obviously something his adopted state is very proud of. Luda famed for tracks such as Runaway Love, Stand Up, and Move was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame for his constant contribution to music. Way to go Luda.
Who needs to be on an controversial MTV list when you are getting the respect of your state?
Nelly is getting ready to make some major moves, both with and without his clothes. His energy drink PIMP juice which caused excessive controversy when it came onto the market in 2003 is ready to break out onto shelves in both France and Sweden. Already seen as a prominent refreshment in the French NBA, Pimp Juice will also be an official sponsor for teh Swedish MTV awards later this year.
Nelly is also the new cover boy for Sean John underwear which Diddy is said to be overjoyed about having Nelly onboard to make him more money. This is what he had to say about the St Louis front man. “I have known Nelly for many years and I really admire his work. To me, Nelly is the quintessential definition of the Sean John man. He has the attitude, the swagger, and most of all the physique that our customers can both aspire and relate to. And let’s be honest, all of the ladies out there are going to be thanking us for this campaign.”
Just 13 days after the patiently-awaited Untitled finally dropped, Nas is planning on staying busy in the near future. In an interview last week, Nas said he’d like to do an entire album with DJ Premier, an entire album with Dr. Dre, and drop them both on the same day. Though Nas hasn’t collaborated with DJ Premier in quite some time, the two seem to still have a mutual respect for one another and a working relationship that could actually possibly make this happen. As far as Dre, he’s been one of the most quiet producers in the game over the past years, and that album may be a little harder to see through. Regardless, to add onto Nas’s tall order, he told MTV he’d like to do an entire album with Kelis. Whether or not these exclusive collaborations will ever see the light of day remains to be seen, but after dropping Hip Hop is Dead and Untitled, you can’t really count Nas out.
