Week 4 Of The 2011 NFL Season Highlights and Disappointments

First I want to start off by saying Jerry Jones needs to jump on that private jet to Mississippi and beg Bret Farve to come out of retirement, because Tony Romo needs to be fired ASAP or benched. The Lions provided further proof they’re a legitimate contender by turning a 24-point, third-quarter deficit into a 34-30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The San Francisco 49ers made the Philadelphia Eagles look stupid, they came back from a 20-point deficit to win 24-23. Also the Baltimore Raven’s had three scores on defense that set a franchise record thanks to Mark Sanchez in Baltimore’s 34-17 victory Sunday night. The Tampa Bay Buc’s also had to fight for everything Monday night against the  24-17 win against the Colts. Also some of you may have noticed that the Opening to Monday Night Football was different that is because Hank Williams Jr.’s classic intro song for “Monday Night Football” — with its signature line “Are you ready for some football?” was pulled from the Buc’s vs. Colts game on ESPN after Williams used an analogy to Adolf Hitler in discussing President Obama. In an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Williams compared the summer golf summit between Obama and House Speaker John Boehner as “one of the biggest political mistakes ever,”"It would be like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli leader] Benjamin Netanyahu,” Williams said. “In the shape this country’s in?”

Week 3 Of The 2011 NFL Season Highlights and Disappointments

This Sunday football was crazy the Patriots loss 31-34 to the Bills. The Bills came back from a 21-point deficit, intercepting Tom Brady four times to maintain their undefeated start. Detroit sealed its first 3-0 start since 1980 after erasing a 20-point halftime deficit to beat Minnesota 26-23 on Jason Hanson’s overtime field goal. Oakland Raiders McFadden rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns in the Oakland Raiders 34-24 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday. The team to keep your eye on this year is the Detroit Lions. Matthew Stafford threw two touchdown passes in the second half to help Detroit get to overtime, and Jason Hanson kicked a 32-yard field goal to finish off a 26-23 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The Cowboys Dan Bailey kicked six field goals, including a 40 yard with 1:52 left, and linebacker Anthony Spencer forced a fumble that teammate Sean Lee recovered with 28 seconds left, giving the Cowboys an 18-16 victory over the Washington Redskins on Monday night.

NFL Scores And Highlights Week 2

This week of the NFL was full of excitement. This season is turning out to be all about the QB’s. Tony Romo silenced the critics with his play by coming back into the game with a broken rib to beat the 49ers in overtime. Micheal Vick was knocked out the game with a concussion in a loss to Matt Ryan and his former team Atlanta Falcons. Tom Brady threw for 423 yards Sunday, just six days after setting a single-game team record of 517 in week 1, Tom led the New England Patriots to a 35-21 win over the San Diego Chargers. Archie Manning told ESPNNewYork.com’s  that his son Peyton is feeling “better” after his neck surgery but he’s not sure if the quarterback will be able to play for the Indianapolis Colts this season. Also Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher played this week as well even though his mother passed away a few days ago.
