The Odd Future cohorts have teamed up for an upcoming album this weekend (July 4) and this single suggests there is so much undiscovered resource still within that group…we need to watch for more of their work. Especially those (Hodgy) beats. Listen after the jump.
That’s that Don’t Touch Anything In The Sto’. This album sounds way better live.
The Cult of Earl is in full force, with kids wearing lippy masks in tribute to the young rhyming phenom. Something about this corny video almost diminishes the album it’s meant to advertise but not much could do that, ultimately. The reaction to Frank Ocean here, though, shows just how much icon-making is happening in the mills of Odd Futurism.
The Kids Are All Right. Odd Future is spreading their special brand of love and merchandise all over the globe. The Wolf Gang is full of characters, like a rap Sesame Street, and their loyalists can’t get enough of the beaming, oddball personalities that come with the package. Be sure to check for them in a town near you. Guaranteed positive feedback.
On July 20, 2013, Peter Rosenberg hosted the second annual Peterpalooza. The event, which took place at Williamsburg Park in Brooklyn, New York, featured performances by Odd Future, Meek Mill, ScHoolboy Q, Joell Ortiz, World’s Fair, and many more. Earl’s proving the haters wrong with his grimy new single, “WHOA.” The video is true to Odd Future’s form as it features Earl making his way through a trailer park, leading him to an abandoned pool while some random chick in a ballerina outfit dances aside him…
Last night Tyler dropped his latest video for the single “Sam Is Dead” off of the Odd Future tape Vol. 2. The video’s cast includes most of the OF members as well as Anwar Carrots and Josh Peas (http://www.peasncarrotsintl.com/) . The video is directed by Tyler himself.
