Meek Mill headlined New York City’s Roseland Ballroom on April 7, 2013 where he also showcased artists on his newly established label, Dreamchasers Records. While Meek took the crown for best performance of the night, Louie V Gutta, Lee Mazin, Lil Snupe, Jordan, Square Off, Pain N Da Ass, and Trips N Slim also won over the crowd. iHipHop.com kicked off the weekend in Manhattan at the Whitney Museum of Art where the ten-piece psychedelic soul group, King Holiday, was on hand for a live performance / exhibit entitled ‘Bloo Voyage,’ as part of the SmokeForBlues festival. iHipHop then made its way to Brooklyn for Covert TV’s rooftop launch party where Hood Chef cooked up some excellent BBQ for those in attendence. Once a year, Austin, TX transforms into the music capital of the world during the annual SXSW Music Festival. This year was no exception, as fans in attendance were able to experience countless live performances from sunrise to sunset each day, with numerous showcases and lively parties throughout the city. On Wednesday May 30, 2012, Travis Porter, the trio from Decatur, Georgia, held the release party for their debut album, “From Day 1” at Greenhouse in New York City. This year’s Internet Week kicked off on Monday May 14, 2012 and to celebrate, Mass Appeal and LastFM hosted an official first night after party at the Tribeca Grand in NYC. Internet Week New York is a week-long festival celebrating NYC’s thriving internet industry and it is now in its fifth year of operation.
