Back in the early 2000s, when Kanye West was on his unstoppable Grammy run (by way of his critically-acclaimed Late Registration album) he, Consequence, and John Legend released “Grammy Family.” Now, some nine years later, R.F.C.’s Al-Doe is taking that beat for a ride. On Wednesday June 18, 2014, Chicago’s SD took the stage at the Marlin Room in New York City’s Webster Hall. SD, who is currently working on his debut album, “Truly Blessed,” made quite the impact during his NYC concert. The show also featured performances from Smoke DZA & RFC, Fame School, Sky Lex, Spazztazzz, Youngin, Jimmy Shine, and Jay Critch.
