Say it isn’t so. But fake reports are saying that the Nasti Muzik is somehow on the way to selling more units than Tha Carter III. First of all, are the people who are supposed to be tracking this album able to count past ten? A report has surfaced saying that Her Royal Nastiness sold 450,000 copies in the first day on shelves….hmmm yeah ok. Read for yourselves the lengths someone will go to to bring attention to a project that will be lucky to move a 100,00. If Khia does go platinum I will never say a bad word about the chick again and will spend the rest of my days running her fan clubKhia :-)))

yeAccording to Rolling Stone, Kanye West is the biggest money maker in Hip-Hop this year when it comes to touring. The Chicago MC has amassed over $31.6 million while out on the road this year, ranking him fourth in the top ten Rock and Pop Tours. The only other urban tour to earn a mention is Jay Z and Mary J Blige who came in just behind West with $30.7 million.

The list is pretty much dominated by rock acts including Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, The Police and Bon Jovi who top the lists. The Mid year report also indicated that CD sales have also declined 16.3% so far this year. However Lil Wayne is holding onto the most sales for the year so far with his album The Carter III.

Nas

After eight months of controversy leading up to his release, Nas has scored another chart-topper with Untitled. The album has pushed 113,000 units to date, already surpassing the average sales of most albums released this year. Nas’s last album, Hip Hop is Dead, was released two years ago and sold over 350,000 units.
