On June 26, 2014, the fourth annual Electric Forest Festival kicked off in Rothbury, Michigan. The Festival hosted a wide array of talented performers ranging from MCs, to electronic DJs, to jam bands, in a glowing environment. iHipHop was on-hand and captured some memorable moments from this year’s Festival including Lauryn Hill’s performance with The String Cheese Incident, as well as performances from ScHoolboy Q, Aloe Blacc, Stephen Marley, Classixx, Cherub, K Theory, MK, and more. Shots were fired outside a Nas, ScHoolboy Q, and Flying Lotus concert at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheater last night. The shooting, which injured three people, forced the venue to be shut down as law enforcement searched for a black male with a rifle. No arrests have been made, although ScHoolboy was detained by Jefferson County Police. Read More

The artists reflect on the career of Nas and the impact he’s had on the landscape of hip-hop. Illmatic XX hits stores next Tuesday (4/15).
Fans at Club Nokia last night for Q’s Oxymoron World Tour were treated to a special performance of the threequel to Quincy and Ab-Soul’s “Druggy’s Wit Hoes.” The track was originally slated to appear on Oxymoron but ended up not surviving the album’s final cut.
