In the most unlikely of collabs, the King of the South and the Prince of Pop get together to create what seems like TI’s new single, “Dead & Gone.” The track comes from album Paper Trail, set to be released on September 30th. Tip has released a bunch of tracks so far, all of which are getting heavy rotation and some great critical acclaim. It seems like it’s been decades since we saw an album from Eminem. From rumored tracks with T.I. to DJ Premier, Em has got fans excited again for his return. It’s going to be big – and actually possible, unlike Dr. Dre’s Detox. 50 recently gave in interview in which he told ITN News that the world “will be seeing him shortly,” and “even though he tries to relax and stay home, it’s impossible for him to stay in.” Glad to hear Em is back in grind mode and is yet again becoming a lab rat. OK so rumors are circulating that TI got a little heated with Rhianna’s boo Chris Brown when he interrupted he and Rhi Rhi’s rehearsal  before the VMAs. Various media outlets are indicating that Brown had to be escorted from the stage area to avoid Tip getting a lil heated as he goofed about. However a source who was inside the staging area as Rhi and Tip rehearsed their duet had this to say,”There was no near face off, these gossip blogs be bugging the f**k out with this stuff man. Chris popped in to say what up and that was it, there was no cursing, no holding TI back.” The two performed TI’s new song Live your Life at the VMAs which took place in Los Angeles last night.

Things are looking up for T.I. and his upcoming album Paper Trail. He has made Billboard history with his latest single “Whatever You Like,” by leaping 70 spots to reach the No. 1 chart in just three weeks. According to Billboard, the hit song has jumped to the top position in record time. This marks his first ever No. 1 single and his opening-week digital total (205,000 downloads) is reportedly the best from a hip-hop song since SoundScan began gathering download data in 2003. Looks like the leak of Swagga Like Us has maddened one of the four artists present. With a one year sentence on the horizon you can kind of understand why Tip is a lil heated about the track featuring himself, Weezy, Kanye and Jigga. The track which has had mixed reviews from fans and the industry was not supposed to be available until late next month according to TI who had this to say on the subject  ‘Wait till the cake comes out the kitchen before you eat it. That’s like a kid who sees his toys before Christmas; it takes away from me and from the fans as well.’ Ahh well as we all know the leak is more guaranteed that a hit is these days.

This is a hot trio, I have to admit. I really like the idea of TI rapping over a Just Blaze beat, and I assume he can kill it like most other rappers Justin works with.
