Only posting to ask this question: Is Tyga the worst rapper of all-time? I mean that, in like, a nutshell. While he’s certainly not the worst at rapping or putting together lyrics, he is perhaps the worst, most vilified individual existing within the parameters of rap music. And even then he barely has anything worthwhile to contribute as a rapper. (Shut up, “Hookah” was a Young Thug track and you know it.) In fact, he accomplishes the bare minimum of what it means to be a rapper. Anyway, here’s a video for some song called “Rap $tar,” which you may or may not wanna listen to. I don’t even know — you decide for yourselves. After the jump…
Travis Barker, drummer for pop punk band Blink-182, is perhaps the last name you’d think you’d find on a hip hop based website. But in all honesty the dude has a passion for music and has been known to post covers of popular rap songs. He’s done everything from Soulja Boy’s 2007 hit “Crank That” to Eminem’s “3am.” And he’s even released a full length album with all the tracks having a rapper as a guest feature — there was Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz & Game — and that was only on one song. Crazy. And here he’s teaming up with Kid Ink, Ty Dolla $ign, IAMSU!, and Tyga for “100.” Check it after the jump.
Tyga’s still trying to get his album released even though it isn’t looking too good for the young rapper. But he’s still churning out music for anyone willing to listen. Here, on “Pleazer,” Tyga is joined by Boosie Badazz (who dropped a dope album last month in Touch Down 2 Cause Hell) with production from FKi. Check it out after the jump.
The upcoming motion picture film, Furious 7, is out April 3rd and the first single off of the soundtrack is a collaboration between Kid Ink, Wale, Tyga, YG and Rich Homie Quan. The track is conveniently entitled “Ride Out” and can be heard after the jump.
