In one of the most bizarre courtroom defenses ever caught on camera, Moon, a Detroit resident accused of threatening to kill his girlfriend, took the stand to show off his impressive off-the-dome vernacular. Surprised by what he heard, District Judge John Chmura told Moon “that’s good” and actually admitted to being impressed before asking Moon if he will require a court-appointed attorney. Family members of Moon, who also faces charges ranging from destruction of police property to disturbing the peace, claim that he suffers from mental illness.
