The Daily Dose

.

-Ok so we are still having problem with audio/video and it’s driving me fucking insane.  So in today’s dose there are no preview links, but I’m using ushershare instead of burnupload, so that you can preview the song within the download link.  Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.

.

-I got two leaks off of Jay‘s The Blueprint 3.  After listening to the whole album, I must say it’s pretty average.  By no means is it a bad album, but when the name Jay-Z is involved you expect greatness.  I like this joint Jay did with Alicia a lot.  I think this track an “Off That” may be my two favorite cuts off of the album.  “Real As It Gets” features Jeezy, and is a perfect example of why the album is disappointing.  You have two of the biggest rappers in the game deliver this mediocracy.

.

-Then we also have two leaks from Raekwon‘s highly anticipated Only Built for Cuban Linx 2.  If there is a song with Raekwon, Jadakiss, & Styles P, what are the possibilities of that song not being good?  Zero, is what I would say.  “Broken Safety” is just that grimy NYC street rap that simply isn’t really made by “new” artists.  Shit is ill.  “Have Mercy” features Beanie Sigel and Blue Raspberry, and is while it’s nice, I like “Broken Safety” more.

.

-XV (see interview) gets a star studded remix to “Mirror’s Edge” which is off of Everybody’s Nobody.  It’s good to see one of my favorite up and coming artists, XV,  get a co-sign from one of my favorite artists, Bun B.  I like what Mike Posner (see interview) does with the hook.  I’m telling you right now that the kid is going to blow up.

.

-Jim Jones is about getting money?  No way!

.

-Snoop drops a cut off of his upcoming album Malice In Wonderland which is dropping on MTV.  I’m still not sure how that deal is worked out, but I expect to see a lot of non-traditional deals in the music business in the near future.  Selling music doesn’t isn’t a particularly profitable business these days.

.

-M.O.P. is dropping an album on Septemeber 15th called The Foundation.  If you are into hardcore hip-hop you should look into to copping this album.  Need proof?  Listen to this song they did with Termanology.

.

-Talk about contrasts of hip-hop, Lil Boosie will also be dropping an album on September 15th called Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz.  I had my most awkward interview ever with Lil Boosie which you guys will have the pleasure of seeing as soon as we get the video section up and running again.

.

-Yo Gotti is the truth, and in today’s song he just goes over the trials and tribulations of his career so far.  Check it out.

.

-Another leak off of Wale‘s (see interview) Attention Deficit featuring Jazmine Sullivan. I thought the joint was a little boring.  Anyone else?
